Personality:
Rena is quite a playful character once you get on friendly terms with her. She loves to tease and she does it well. She tends to be rather stubborn when it comes to things that matter to her though, like friendships. If she has a falling out with a friend, yes she'll be steaming mad but she will demand an explanation if that friend has wronged her and she won't give up on that friend until she knows the friendship can't be saved. She can be rather pushy at times when she's in these kinds of scenarios but it's only because her friends at Camp Half Blood are her second family.
She's a brave warrior and even though what's going on with the Titans scares her so much, she knows she has to fight. Although she trains hard and gives it everything she has, Rena has a deep fear of failing and letting anyone down. Though she won't often admit it, she deeply cares for what people think of her, maybe too much. She loves to be around her friends and hates being on her own. She works better in teams though she is capable of hand to hand combat.
She doesn't make the best decisions on her own. In fact part of the reason she prefers teamwork is because she can be dangerously headstrong and reckless, making decisions that frankly could get her killed. She also has a pretty vicious temper that comes out rather easily. She finds it easy to get riled up. In battle she can usually use her anger to put power behind her attacks but in training, sometimes it makes her uncoordinated and unbalanced due to the less pressurised environment. When angry she tends to be rather sarcastic. She has a large tendency to push people's patience and anger when she's in a mood as she becomes very antagonistic. She doesn't tend to think before speaking in these kinds of moods either and often tends to offend those she loves. Rena can be rather sensitive at times.
Despite the fact that Rena is a daughter of Apollo, the sun god, she has a very strong fear of heights. She often has difficulty focusing when she's near steep drops. Even as a child, the slide was her least favourite playground object until she grew taller. She's also very scared of drowning. Swimming isn't her favourite sport but she will do it. She's relatively fine in swimming pools but she has shied away from water sports and won't swim in the sea or rivers since they have powerful currents.

History:
Rena was born Serena Violet Roseheart to Alicia Roseheart and the god Apollo on the 22nd of March. Alicia had had a short fling with the god during the summer months before falling pregnant. She gave birth three weeks early. However complications arose and Alicia died in childbirth. Rena was raised by her aunt and uncle who formally adopted her but kept her last name. She was brought up in Louisiana and attended a good primary school there. She was seven when her teacher reported that Rena had an excellent aptitude for dance. She suggested that Rena might benefit from a local dance club. Rena enthusiastically took to it. By the time she was nine, she asked if she could attend a Dance and Drama academy instead of a usual middle school. Her adoptive parents agreed, provided that the school offered a normal curriculum too as well as their speciality subjects. She was introduced to drama in her last years of elementary school and she loved it. By the time she turned twelve, she was enrolled in her new school.
However around this time some epousa appeared at Rena's school and attacked her. She was saved by a satyr and taken to Camp Half Blood where she was told that she was a child of a god and therefore in danger. Naturally being quite young and just out of the phase where she believed in fairies etc, Rena was rather alarmed, believing that she had been kidnapped and forced to join a weird cult or had hallucinogenic drugs put in the water. She attempted escape at least twice before Chiron was finally able to convince her by showing her around the camp and having a long discussion with her. It was only after Dionysus intervened that Rena actually began to believe in this world.
They sent a satyr to inform her adoptive parents and told her that until she learnt how to defend herself, she needed to stay at camp. Despite the shock that this was for her, Rena was determined to return to her adoptive parents and her new school during the main months of the year. She began to train and focus her newfound abilities. The longer she stayed at camp, the more she enjoyed it. By the summer she decided to stay on and be a year rounder. She visited her parents over the break but returned to camp often.
Rena stayed in the Hermes cabin for eighteen months before Apollo finally claimed her. She was shocked to finally know who her father is and often asked Chiron a lot of questions about him. She even turned to Dionysus for answers though his cynical ways soon bored her. She was intrigued to be moved to the Apollo cabin where she met her brothers and sisters for the first time.

RP Example:Silas had only been at camp a week and already his head felt like it wanted to explode. Even summarising everything he had learnt would be enough to warrant some kind of therapist if he spouted it in the mortal world. So he was a demi god son of Hecate, he was to be trained to fight monsters in a camp called Camp Half Blood. Mortals were surrounded by this Mist to disguise monsters and that his father had known about his heritage just before his mother left. Silas brought a hand to his head. Has his father left him in that Lotus Casino so that he could fight this war instead? Was that the real reason or was it simply to protect him from World War I?
In all honesty he didn't want to fight any wars but out of the two, he would have known what he was doing in the mortal war. Still, he was here now and he needed to train up. This war would probably be more exciting but at the same time, the danger it posed and the risk if the war didn't go their way was even more horrific. If the mortal's war hadn't gone right, at worst Germany would have conquered a few countries at most. This war? If all went wrong, civilisation went to hell. Yeah... great choice, Dad.
Silas bit his lip. Dad He was dead now. He didn't even know where his father's grave was. Had he died in battle? Survived and settled down with a new family? Did Silas have sisters or brothers on his father's side? More Vanguards? What had happened to the normal life he'd used to have? What right did anyone have to change his life and not give him a choice? He wasn't prepared to turn his back on this new world, per se, but he wished that he had had a choice in the matter. It would have been easier to deal with if he could have weighed the pro's and cons.
Sighing, Silas entered the coliseum. It was quiet and peaceful here at the moment and he could hear himself think.
