There was no sign of any embers. In the fireplace that was surrounded by the campers’ residence. Percy felt like it was a metaphor for the lack of ideas that were floating around concerning the resident prisoner. Someone needed to take charge. That seemed to be Percy from what his dad was saying anyway. Percy was frustrated over the lack of decision-making so why shouldn’t he be the one to take charge. No one else was. He needed a plan of action otherwise the tide would change again in Kronos’ favour and no one at camp wanted that. Except Luke. Not that he was agreeing with it but Percy could see why Luke would want to overthrow the Gods. They spent all of their time up on Olympus and only occasionally came down to Earth and see their kids. That was the thing though; demigods did get to see their parents. Percy was a prime example of that. He was still reeling over what was exchanged just minutes ago:
“You may be faced with a decision that can change everything.”
What decision did his dad mean? It was obviously to do with the whole Luke thing. Or was it? It was not specifically stated. Could there be something bigger just around the corner? Percy needed Grover or Annabeth or both to talk to. One thing Percy did take from the conversation was that talking about the situation at hand helped. The sea-green eyes Percy possessed locked onto one of the cabins and instantly knew it as Athena’s. Maybe Annabeth would be there? Just the thought of her made Percy’s heart skip a beat. He had never experienced anything like it before. Percy shook his head in attempt to shrug off the thought. With a glance at the fireplace, Percy started to head over to the Athena Cabin when bam – Percy knocked into someone unexpectedly.
