It was 3'o clock and the goddess was waiting.
Man she hated waiting.
She had better things to do than to tap her $200 manicured nails on the marble armrest of her chair. Her uncle wanted to meet with her for something, yet didn't tell her what. By the gods, it better be important. She had an appointment to make and did not like being late.
She found herself going through mental reasons why her uncle has asked of her presence. She wondered if he brought her something. "Oh would that be exciting," she said to herself. The sea was known to harbor plenty of precious jewels. Aphrodite herself would never go down there for fear of her hair getting wet. The goddess of beauty needed to stay just that: beautiful.
She thought on the many mortals who would die to be as beautiful as her. In fact, some have. The goddess would have thought it sad if she cared at all for them. It was their want to be like her that helped fuel the goddess' beauty and strength, and she relished each and every part of it.
Yet, mortals were not the only ones who wanted a taste of her beauty. The gods themselves fuss over her and her girdle which is placed safely upon her voluptuous body. This here was her main way of getting what she wanted. Of course her looks got her things, but it was for the hard-to-get mortals. The ones with...morals.
The goddess couldn't remember the last time she did anything that was related to morals. In fact, it probably wasn't in her. Not like her goody-two-shoes of her sisters Artemis and Athena. They did things to...help others, but why? It was a waste of time. When it comes down to it, yourself should be your main focus.
As of right now, Aphrodite was focusing on a slight chip on her nail and let out a curse. Mortals and their imperfections. She hated imperfections, which is why she hated her brother/husband Hephaestus. Why couldn't he be like Ares? Ares was a real man. He was strong, brave, and handsome, all the things Hephie was not. Why couldn't her father marry her to him? That was so not fair. And so wasn't this chipped nail.

Poseidon walked into olympus. He was wearing his God clothes. He only wore mortal clothes to blend in but right now he could wear his regular clothes. He had a nice armor that was made by some of the best black smiths in the world. With his tattoo of his famous trident on his left forearm on top of his muscle. He had his hair in a brownish blonde color that seemed to be a mix of his 2 favorite hair colors. His green eyes looked like the sea. His eyes seemed to never change whether he was trying to look like a mortal, or god he always enjoyed his green eyes that represented the sea. His beard was perfectly trim and covered his chin and connected to his mustache. Poseidon had a somewhat tan and looked somewhat at his mid or early 30s though he was really hundreds of years old. Poseidon looked over to the place where he was going to meet Aphrodite. She was his niece. " Though she is always beautiful she seemed to be sometimes.. What was the word the mortals used. Self centered, conceded.."" He thought. As he walked he finally entered there meeting spot. As always it looked quite marvelous. This was the place where gods would come and hang out, it was the God's lounge basically. Poseidon could see some of the minor goods talking, or arguing about something. He walked over to his niece aphrodite. "Aphrodite, looking stunning as always." He said as he sat next to her. Her eyes were quite beautiful with her nice hair. Poseidon knew that Aphrodite tended to get tangled and into a lot of things she shouldn't. He took out a jewel he had found in the sea. He stuck his hand out in a attempt to give it to her. He thought it would look good. She was one of his favorite nieces , though she was quite manupliative Poseidon admired her for that. Sure she was manipulative but you wouldn't expect a "Pretty girl" to have any brains. That was why every encounter Poseidon had with her he was inclined to give her gifts. Poseidon then said "SO Aphrodite.. The prophecy is coming quite soon." He said as he looked at her. " It seems a child, of zeus.. Might become the one to fulfill it." He took a pause to make eye contact with her. "You might play or toy with the demigods head and mix there emotions. Seems like something your good at....BUT you shouldn't forget. If you play with there emotions to much it might be the downfall of Olympus.." Poseidon said he then continued "Im not the goddess of love, but I know love can be the destruction of Olympus. Every god could play and manipulate them. Poseidon was trying to control the situation a bit. Maybe he just didn't want Olympus being destroyed. He then continued "So.... You do know who the child of the prophecy will probably be.. Most of the gods already do. Seems like a Thalia Grace." Poseidon said. Poseidon would probably encounter her eventually and when he did he would probably want to talk to her about a decision that she may come across. Similar to Percy's conversation. Wordcount:575

"Well it's about time." she purred as her uncle walked into the room. Though she was a hot-headed goddess, she still had to show respect for her elders. She gets into her fair amount of arguments with Hera, but well, she's Hera. She question why she was not the goddess of argument instead of fertility or...whatever she was. Wasn't her mother, didn't really care.
She smiled as he complimented her. "I know right? I'm still amazed at this day. I look in the mirror and I'm like, 'Who is this amazing creature? And how was she formed?'" She sighed and looked over at her uncle. "Why are you wearing that? Shouldn't you look more...relaxed since this is your own home away from home?" Says the female with the short skirt and the skin fitting blouse to go with it.
She squealed when she eyed the sparkling jewel. She grabbed and and stared at it intently. "Thank-you uncle! There is a reason why you are my favorite." Of course she had another one, but he never gave her anything. Being the God of Wealth, you'd think he could spare some with his niece. Talk about selfish...
She was still playing with her gift when Poseidon started to talk to her. She wanted to keep looking at her gift but his eyes bared into her and she was forced to meet them. It was his way at letting her know that he was serious. "What? Not confident in your own son?" That very much surprised her. Then again, not every god is close to their children; she herself can account for that.
She sighed at his words. "But it's so fun," she whined, yet she knew it was true. She liked Olympus; people adored her and did anything that she asked. She will not let those Titans take control of their turf. "Oh Posie, you need not worry. I will not mess up their love lives to the point of irrational decisions." But that's what love is about, isn't it? Irrational decisions. Aphrodite was known to cause stir...one need only to take a look at the Trojan War for example.
She thought for a moment on his question. "To be honest, I'm not quiet sure who the child is." It could be Percy or Thalia. Both have proven very strong during their quests. "I really haven't gotten a clue."

Poseidon Laughed at the fact she was complimenting herself. Aphrodite was so used to complimenting herself that Poseidon had gotten use to it. He just listened thinking about how what she said was so true, but also so self centered. "Relaxed isn't how people look when in meetings. I just came from a meeting with Iris, but I prefer not to wear the Human clothes. There not as attractive as the things we wore back in our day. Remember when Toga's were actually considered the best thing you wore? Now Dresses, skirts, and suits are the style." Poseidon said looking at his Niece attire sighing.
Poseidon watched the girl talking about his confidence in his son. Sure he was confident in Percy, him and Percy had already had this conversation, he had no doubt about it that percy would make the right decision. THough there were many influencecs out there, and the decision ultimately would be based upon Percys mood. "I'm quite confident in my son. You see we had a conversation the other day, and he's already quite confused. Can't really give him love advice, but I feel that, girl.. Athena's Daughter has a huge influent on him."
He knew that Annabeth would have a big influence on his decision, maybe more then his own father. Poseidon couldn't blame him, he wasn't there for most of his childhood and this Annabeth girl was his lover of some kind. Poseidon had a flash back of him and Medusa in Athena's Temple. He had a silent laugh in his head reflecting about the memory. Was that one memory! Poseidon use to be crazy, but now he had matters that were better to do and couldn't spend time fooling around with, well Mortals..
"I understand its fun but its..." She then said she wouldn't mess up there love life to the point of irritation.. Meaning she would mess with there life, just not as and as she did with most people's life. "Great" Poseidon mumbled as he listened to her. She has a plan to meddle with them hopefully its not one that is terribly bad. Aphrodite could sometimes get carried away. Example 1: Paris and Helen. " She had to want to be the fairest, I had to punish Odysseus at sea, and spend my free time basically terrorizing him. Boy were those years boring. " Though Poseidon Looking at Aphrodite still straight in the eye.
She wasn't sure who the child one. Honestly Poseidon wasn't either but it seemed more and more every day it would become Thalia, or Percy. There were no other children who could of took it and honestly Percy seemed like one to always get tangled up in trouble like that. Poseidon glared at Aphrodite and said "I'm not either... It seems like Thalia at the moment, but if this year passes it will most likely be Percy... Don't get me wrong I have tons of confidence in percy like I said before. But he was confused about what to do with Luke as a prisoner. He's my son and all but I told him harder decisions will come. When those decisions come Percy won't have days to decide about it he will probably have seconds to decide about it. Thats what scares me the most, for now all I can do is hope for Zeus's daughter or My son."
Poseidon looked around and said " Aphrodite, I might end up teaching Percy had to summon earth quakes. If the time comes where it seems that Olympus is waging to war with the Titans, or Luke sets free I might have to teach him how to do that as a last resort. Though hopefully it may never come to that." Poseidon could remember the earthquakes he had made. The one in Haiti was Tragic, though they were abusing his water so he really had no choice. Poseidon then continued and said " It seems that everyone at the camp may still enjoy, or like Luke. Mixed feelings are horrible... especially for such young children. Confusion will only make it easier for Kronos to plot his escape. Of course, I know my dad better then anyone."

He had a point, she has to admit. A smile was placed on her lips as she thought back to the golden days when the greek tunics were "in" so to speak. Chignons were acceptable then, along with the long flowing robes and the sash to wrap around it. Oh...good times.
But still, the fashion of this day and age was quite impressive as well. They mixed and matched different textiles to form new clothes. Jeans were her favorite invention of clothing in the past century. That and halter tops. Well, she liked just about anything that showed off her figure. She adored the lingering eyes she would receive when she walked by. Men never change...
"That's true Uncle, but I would like to see you in casuals every once in a while," she finally said. Then he brought up the whole confidence in his son thing and smiled. Oh yes, the whole Percy and Annabeth thing. "They are quite cute I have to admit, and it wasn't my doing this time. Of course if they ever needed help I would be more than happy to assist them." Aphrodite was always eager to help anyone out with love issues. She's the original Dr. Phil.
"Good. Then all is settled on that matter," she said referring to the meddling in the lives of heroes. She felt a little peeved that he was budding in on her job. She didn't complain about the sea and horses, why bug her and her job? She felt that she was the most important woman in the universe, and had every right to think so. Love makes the world go around. If it wasn't for her, Zeus would not have put up with mortals and his love for them for this long. She also had an influence on Poseidon choice on Percy's mother. She indeed was very important, and it is is unwise to question her methods.
"I see. Though, I'd have to agree with you on Thalia. She's a...what do the mortals call them? A... B.A.M.F. Yes, I think that's what they say." It might be her feminism kicking in, but she hoped Thalia would be the chosen child of prophecy, yet she needed to set things right with the child of Hermes. If the Zeus child was indeed the child, then their feelings for each other may put Olympus in danger. She need to have a chat with her and quick.
Oh, but it wasn't fun making people fall out of love, but she knew it was for the best of Olympus. Her thoughts were interrupted when Poseidon said he'll teach Percy earthquake control. "Are you sure? He's only a child..." She remembered the last child taught by Poseidon...the Grand Canyon was never originally like that.
"Let's hope for the best for Olympus, Uncle," was her only reply. She did not want Olympus to fall to the hands of the Titans. She wasn't born in the era of the Great Battle, and she didn't want to be here when the second Battle might form.

Poseidon sighed, "Fine, just because your my niece. though I will not enjoy it. I'll probably dress in a suit maybe. Thats actually not a bad human cloth." Poseidon was relieved that Aphrodite had not interfered with his sons relationship. Though he might of just popped a idea in her head to go pay them a visit. It seemed sort of a good thing or bad thing.
Though Aphrodite can cause troubles, she could also make good matches and relationships. She knows what to do when it comes to her job, though hopefully she doesn't send out 100 ships to fight percy for Annabeth. Poseidon nodded as she said all is settled. Though that didn't mean he wouldn't be keeping a close eye on her.
Poseidon listened as she said some strange term. "B.M.F.A? Enlighten me. It seems sort of like a insult, though i've never heard it before in my life. So I wouldn't know. But It doesn't sound so good. Mortals now in days are quite strange. Destroying there language and there clothing. Every year these new terms scares me. I just got up to knowing what the term 'yo' meant. As in Hello, or HEY! when gathering someones attention." Poseidon said that with pride and confidence that he was right. He always loved to show off how he could keep up with the new slang words. Though he was really horrible at keeping up with them.
Poseidon looked at her and shook his head. "If Kronos is truly revived, i doubt he would let me and the rest of the olympians fight him. He would definitely put a obstacle, and if worse came to worse, the Demigods would have to be the ones to stop him. You've seen my children's earthquakes. They definitely know how to halt someone. The children of me and my brothers could prove quite powerful when they work together." he said with a lot of confidence. Though he did think was it too soon to teach Percy.
If Percy practice, he would probably have to take him to some tropical island or somewhere that is no where. Last time he did ti in a desert and thank god no one knew it was really created by his child, but the publicity came close and poseidon almost had been discovered. He sighed thinking about the days where he didn't have to worry about this and everything was good.
"Yes, I hope for the best. all the time. But enough about my children, how are you and yours? I haven't talked to them yet due to the fact a lot of children, especially Zeus's children, tend to stay away from the ocean. I'm not that scary am I? I'm just as welcoming as any other god." Poseidon said a bit in sadness and a bit with happiness. He liked his peace and quiet, but he always wanted to help demigods. Which tended to piss Zeus off. That might of been the exact reason he wanted to help them. If there was ANYTHING poseidon could do better. It was definitely making the Lord of the sky pissed off.
