I RUN TO THE RIVER AND DRIVE STRAIGHT IN I PRAY THAT THE WATER WILL DROWN OUT THE DINAS THE WATER FILLS MY MOUTH IT COULDN'T WASH THE ECHOES OUTIt was honestly cold. Maybe that was because it was before lunch, in the early hours of the morning, and everyone was at breakfast. However, she wasn't hungry. She would've been back in cabin one, but Zeus' statue was really the creepiest thing she had ever seen. It almost watched over her as she slept, but it more felt like it had it's eyes trained on her, to make sure that she didn't do anything wrong to shame him or something. She'd would stare at the walls, sit up and look at the pictures that she had stuck to the walls when she had first come into the cabin, after Annabeth handing her the belongings that the blonde had never had the heart to throw away. It was her section of the cabin, and she had made it as homey as she possibly could've. However, that didn't say much. The Zeus cabin wasn't meant to be like a home. It was meant to stand tall and regal and empty. It was meant to be intimidating, the king of all kings, the cabin of all cabins. The effect, however, was ruined when there was a sixteen year old girl sleeping in it, and trying to personalize it to the best of her abilities.
She grabbed a bow and a few arrows, heading back to stand a few feet away from the target. About twenty five. She thought that that was enough. She had used a bow and arrow before, she had been practicing actually, but she was kind of a natural with it. Not the way she was with a spear or a sword, but she had a skill she had build off of. She thanked her lucky stars that she wasn't as bad with a bow as she was with a knife. She had no idea how to use it. She was good with contact fighting, but honestly, knives weren't long enough to do any damage. Not the way she wanted them to do damage. Yes, they could be used to stab someone, but that was much more effective with a sword or a spear. They were easily concealed, yes, but Thalia had a mace canister that turned into a spear. Really, she didn't need anything concealable. The good things about a knife could all be found in any other weapon, and so Thalia had given up, after she'd been laughed at by Annabeth, who's favorite weapon was the knife that Luke had given her when they'd still been on the streets.
She held the bow, aligning it with the target. She notched an arrow, and drew her arm back. She closed one eye, making sure that the arrow would hit the bulls eye, and then let her arm go, letting the arrow fly towards the target. Just outside the bulls eye, Thalia thought mentally. If it had been not even two inches, it would've been in the red circle in the middle of the target. She got into position once more, notching an arrow and drawing her arm back. She took a deep breath. She could do this. She was Thalia, daughter of Zeus. She could do anything she set her mind to. She let the arrow fly, and bit down on her tongue when, once more, it ended up right outside of the small circle in the middle of the target. It almost looked like it was mocking her. "Ha ha. I am not amused. Stupid inanimate object," Thalia muttered to herself, not even acknowledging the fact that she had just talked to herself. She was just slightly irritated with her bad start. But that was fine. She had grabbed five arrows. When those were on the target in front of her, she'd jog over, take them out, and repeat. Then, maybe, she could swing into the arena and challenge a few demigods. Maybe Clarisse or Percy would be up to it - she was sure she could drag one of them. She notched another arrow, and lined up her arm once more. She could do it, this time. Third time's the charm - wasn't that the saying?

Bianca needed something to clear her head. Sleep wouldn't do it. Demigods never got a proper good nights sleep, and Bianca was no exception. She could still remember, in vivid detail, that her fatal flaw was not grudges, but that she'd do anything for a person she loved. Anything. Even if the thing was risky or wrong. One of the Furies, Alecto, had told her. Bianca still got shivers when she remembered Alecto's face. If anybody needed a facial, or the complete works when it came to makeup, it was Alecto. Bianca had made the mistake to tell her in the dream, and the Fury had been considerably less kinder to her.
What she needed was archery. Pure, simple archery. A bow and arrow were the weapons Bianca could manipulate best, with a dagger being the second best. What was ironic was the fact that even though Bianca was pretty good at archery, she was a daughter of Hades who declined an offer to join the Hunters of Artemis. There was a slightly bitter taste in Bianca's mouth for a second, but then it went away. Bianca tried not to feel any regret over her decision to not be a Hunter, she'd given Nico some happiness, but Bianca couldn't help but wonder 'what if'.
She loved Nico. And after all they had been through... to leave him alone would have been selfish of her. Plus, who was going to be there for Nico when he had nightmares? A stomachache? Sure, there were the campers and Chiron and all that, but it wasn't like anybody but Chiron and a couple of campers who were actually friendly and nice to Bianca and Nico. They were all afraid that Bianca and Nico were go all Hades at them. Bianca resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the fought. Puh-lease! Nico wouldn't hurt a fly. And the only time she'd gone "Hades" was when she was provoked by a couple of Ares kids.
Maybe if she hadn't gone all "Hades" against those Ares kids, she and Nico still would have been treated with more kindness. They would be forever unclaimed in the cramped Hermes cabin, yes, but Bianca preferred the cramped Hermes Cabin than the state of the art Hades cabin that had been made by some Hephaestus campers. The Hephaestus campers were ordered by Chiron to make the Hades cabin, and to make it nice. And it was nice. Except for when somebody spray painted "freaks" across the front once, on a dare.
Chiron had made sure the person had gotten a proper punishment, but the memory still brought tears to Bianca's eyes. Why did people care if she and Nico were children of Hades? She'd only lost her temper once. Just once. And now people hated her because of it. Honestly, maybe things would have been better for Nico at least if Bianca had joined the Hunters. People wouldn't hate them as much, at the very least. Maybe their father would have never claimed them. Maybe people wouldn't hate them.
Tears were blurring Bianca's vision by now as she mulled over this. Then she remembered. The Archery Range. The Archery Range. The Archery Range would make it all better. Bianca hastily wiped her tears and ran over to the Archery Range. She arrived there, hoping to be the only person there. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Another girl was there. Bianca at first resisted the urge to groan, then realized that the person was Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus. One of the few people who had actually been nice to her. Taking a deep breath, Bianca jogged lightly over to get her bow and arrows, got them, and headed over to a target.
"Hey," she said to Thalia lightly, deciding to not say anything would have been rude. Then, finally, she began shooting arrows. She notched the first one, then let it fly. Bullseye. Bianca smiled for the first time today. Archery made her feel better already. It was fun, much funner than sword fighting. Bianca couldn't manipulate a sword to save her life.
